The Iyadaniji Temple is in the mountain side of the Iyadani mountain which progressed
the national highway north about 13km from the Motoyama temple. Stone steps continue
from the Deva gate and there is a countless stone statue of the Buddha in both sides.
The Daishido is located in the place which reached steep stone steps.
The Gyuki-bosatu opened this temple. At first, it was calling the Hakkoku Temple.
Then, Kobo Daishi visited there and he was self-training, the five swords have
fallen. Then, it is considered as the Kengozan, and since this place has many valleys, it is
said that temple's name changed into the Iyadaniji Temple.
Although this temple was also burned down by the war of Tensyou age, feudal loard
Takamatsu Mr.Ikoma revived in 1600.Then, faith of many people was collected by feudal
loard Marugame Mr. Kyogoku'support. The Main Temple and the Daishido are made in the
lock face. The place that the Daishi strove for learning in boyhood is in the inner part of
the Daishido.
